Akers, Michael, 65, of Valrico, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 5, 2008. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Annette. He will also be deeply missed by his children; Doug (Kendra), Craig (Kris), Chris (Dani), and Danielle; and grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, Andrew, Aubrey, Brooke, Mikayla, Shianne and Abby. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
