IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Melinda Lee
Taylor
August 27, 1963 – March 27, 2026
Melinda Lee Taylor, 62, of Wimauma, Florida went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2026, reunited with her son Michael Allen Taylor and so many loved ones who went before her. She was born on August 27, 1963 in Bluefield, West Virginia to James Gilbert Cox and Arlies Ivalee Carter.
Most everyone knew her as Linda. She was an incredible wife, mom, nanny, aunt, and friend—someone who showed up fully for the people she loved. She was also truly exceptional in her work in title, respected by everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
Linda loved spending time with family, traveling, boating, and going on motorcycle rides.
Linda fought with everything she had. She faced cancer with a strength and determination that never wavered. She was, in every sense, a fighter—strong, resilient, and unapologetically herself. She had a sharp honesty and a straightforward way about her that you couldn’t help but admire. And yes, she had that special kind of strength it takes to keep Mark in line—we all know that’s no small task.
But more than anything, Linda was simply a beautiful person, inside and out. Her presence made life better, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Melinda is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Mark Taylor, children, Charles Edward (Lenie) Earl Jr. of Lusby, Maryland, Jessica Ivalee Earl of Lusby, Brandon Lee Taylor of Wimauma, Florida, her mother, Arlies Ivalee {Carter} McCally, brothers, Tommy Burton (Patrice) Cox of Huntingtown, Maryland, and Michael Anthony (Kelley) Cox of Westminster, Maryland, grandchildren, Krista Lee Rawlings, Charles Edward Earl III, Maci Nicole Taylor, Sabrina Lee Taylor, and Gabriella Violet Earl. Melinda is preceded death by her father, James Gilbert Cox and brothers, James Gilbert Cox Jr. and Christopher Ray Cox.
Linda, we will miss you more than words can express. But we take comfort in knowing your love and spirit will always be with us.
