Jones, Melanie Jean, 66, of Brandon passed away on June 7, 2016. She was born on November 5, 1949 in Greensburg, Pa. to the late Robert and Anna (Chalfant) Jones. Melanie retired after 35 years as a 2nd grade teacher for Riverview Schools. She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Melanie is survived by twin sister Stephanie (Biss) Hough, sister Christy (Delvin) Haas, sister in law Debra Jones, 8 nieces and nephews, 7 grand nieces and nephews. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Ralph Jones, and James Jones, sister Roberta Jones Gonzalez, and nephew Nathan Haas. A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 10:30am to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
