Maureen Stapleton, 87, of Seminole, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Suncoast Hospice in N. Pinellas Park, FL.  Born on July 4, 1931 in the Bronx, NY to the proud parents of Stephen R. & Eva (Codde) Murphy. Maureen met her soon to be husband, Thomas J. Stapleton when they were just 15 and 16 years old. They married on April 6, 1952 and raised their four children in Danbury, CT.  She was a homemaker and a former receptionist with the YMCA. Maureen and her husband moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1986, where they enjoyed 20 years of retirement together. Her hobbies included tennis, swimming, ceramics and sewing.  In 2007 after the passing of her husband, Maureen moved to the Tampa Bay area to be near her daughters. She always said, "I've lived such a wonderful life and was blessed with a wonderful family".  Survivors include her son, Robert K. Stapleton (Janice); her daughters: Kathleen Toth and Patricia Weeks (Victor); her sister Sherry Murphy (Bill); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her furry companion, Danny Boy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her son, Thomas P. Stapleton; her brother, Terry Murphy and her son-in-law, John Toth.  Inurnment services will be held at a later date at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Riverview, FL.
