Rutherford, Mary Anne, 'Anne', 70, of Valrico, passed away on December 17, 2018. Anne had a fierce loyalty to her family; she would do anything for them, especially her beloved grandchildren. She started the Navy Family Service Center in Ft Meade, Maryland. She was a dedicated social worker who specialized in youth and adolescents; she went on to become a therapist and continued to work with children and families. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri Rutherford; and brother, Tom Gatson. Anne is survived by her loving family, husband of 49 years, John Rutherford; sons, Scott (Joanne) Rutherford, and Bill (Wendy) Rutherford; siblings, Cecelia (Mike) Grindel, Larry Gatson, Margaret (Mitch) Maggard, Tim (Gwen) Gatson, Theresa (Jack) Kelly, and John (Brenda) Gatson; grandchildren, Alyssa Zelko, Brett Rutherford, and Savannah Rutherford; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
