Dowell, Mary (Mazie) LeGrand 88,of Freedom Plaza, Sun City Center, died May 9, 2011. She was born in Glennville, Georgia on the 11 Sept 1922 and lived in Tybee Island, Georgia until her marriage in 1944. She was an Air Force wife and lived many places including Bavaria, Germany and Suffolk, England. She moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1964, where her husband retired from active duty at MacDill AFB. She was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg for over forty years where she served as an Elder and Deacon and taught Sunday school before moving to Freedom Plaza and joining the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband of 66 years Frank; son, William L. Dowell and wife, Kathy, of Eden, Utah; daughter, Frances D Beeson and husband, Bruce, of Wimauma, Florida; and two grandchildren, Scott and Elizabeth Dowell of Eden, Utah.
