KEISER, Mary Elizabeth Vorce
90, of Brandon, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 in her home, surrounded by family. Mary was born May 18, 1918 in Ludington, Michigan to L.E. and Vesta Vorce. After growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan, and graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 1940 with a B.S. in music, Mary wed Vernon R. Keiser, a recent graduate of University of Michigan College of Law. Three months later, her younger sister, Ann, married Vernon's younger brother, Ted. During WWII, Vernon served in the FBI and they lived in NYC. After the war, they returned to Ludington to join Vernon's father's law practice. In 1959, the family moved to Largo, Florida. Vernon established a Law practice in Clearwater and they enjoyed the beaches, sailing, and traveling together. Mary was known for her wonderful gift of music, notably the piano, great sense of style, witty conversation and devotion to family and friends. Predeceased by her husband and son, Vernon V. Keiser, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Lianne Keiser White and husband Charles; Her sister, Ann Vorce Keiser (Ted); Grandchildren, Andrew Addison White (Andrea), Erin Elizabeth White Register (Lester), Amanda Lianne White, Meredith Ann White; and Great-Grandchild, Brenna Elizabeth Register.
A memorial service will be held this summer for Mary and Vernon in Ludington, Michigan.
