Mary Adele Johnson, (nee Goudy) age 83, passed away January 11, 2026, at her home in Gibsonton, FL. She was born on November 26, 1942, to the late Samuel O. and Eleanor J. Goudy in Hastings, MI. Mary was raised around Calhoun County, MI and graduated from Battle Creek High School.

She married her husband Richard L. Johnson in 1962 and lived in Los Altos, CA before moving to Gibsonton in 1966.

She was self employed as a housekeeper, raising her three sons to adulthood after her husband's passing. She had a fondness for plants, cats, dogs, frogs, and owls., playing guitar, cornet, accordion and singing.

She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel O., Sr. and Eleanor J. Goudy, her husband Richard L. Johnson, Sr., her brothers, Samuel O. and Thomas L. Goudy.

She is survived by her sister Jackie J. and her husband, Ed Brown, her three sons Robert L., Ronald L., and Richard L. Johnson, Jr. and two grandchildren, Richard P. and Riane S. Johnson, and three sisters-in-law. She also had nine nieces and seven nephews.

The Funeral will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview, FL 33578. The ceremony begins at 1:00 pm,with a graveside service following.
