Obituary

Jo's life began March 4, 1933 in Covington, Kentucky. She graduated from La Salette Academy, studying dance the first thirteen years of her life. She performed for her father in minstrel and variety shows until the age of fourteen when she began dancing professionally. Jo danced with the "Ray Myers Sparklettes" performing nightly during the Big Band era and traveled the fair circuit during the summers. After graduation she joined "The Lovely Lindsey Dancers" entertaining in night clubs around the country and with the USO during the Korean Conflict.
She later married her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Frohlich. They had three children, a son Mark William and two daughters Melanie Rodriguez and Marcie Wiggins. She has ten grandchildren and eleven and a half great grand-children. Jo and Bill lived in Plant City, Florida where she was the General Manager of the Strawberry Festival during the mid-70's. Jo organized the first Strawberry Ball which is still being held today. Jo and Bill lived ten years on Belair Beach where she worked as an interior home designer.

She went home to the Lord on September 16, 2016 surrounded with the love of her family. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd., Sun City Center, FL 33573. The family appreciates donations in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or LifePath Hospice, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
