FONTAINE, M. Eileen, 78 of Valrico, Florida and New Bedford, Massachusetts, died January 23, 2009. She was the wife of Richard Fontaine and daughter of the late John and Monica (Barry) Hanson and one brother, the late John H. Hanson. She was a communicant of Nativity Church in Valrico, Florida and St. Mary's Church in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School in 1948. She was employed by TECO Transport and Trade a subsidiary of Tampa Electric Company for 23 years and formerly self-employed as a dance instructor at Eileen Smith School of Dance in New Bedford before moving to Florida. She enjoyed dancing, piano, sewing and time with her grandchildren. Having participated in competitive ballroom dancing, she was awarded with trophies and high praise. Survivors include her husband, son, John Michael Smith and his wife Ida of Valrico, Florida; daughter Janice Brooks and her husband Gregory of Brandon, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Jaclyn TenEyck, Jessica Markun and Steven Brooks, 9 stepchildren, Ann Mullins, Mary Kavanaugh, Ted Fontaine, Barbara Fontaine, Joan Vasconcellos, Richard (Chuck) Fontaine, Delia Sullivan, Natalie Sine and Margaret (Molly) Cote, many stepchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at the Nativity Church Chapel, Valrico Florida at 10:00 a.m.., on Tuesday, January 27, 2009.
