Cumbie, Mary Lee Twitty, went peacefully to be with her Lord on February 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Roxie Twitty, her brother, Paul, and her sisters, Evelyn Twitty and Myra Twitty Tillman. She is survived by her sisters, Hazel Twitty Manning and Dorothy Twitty; by her beloved children, Debra Cumbie, Paul Cumbie and wife Laurie, and her "special daughter" Terri Phillips Proctor; by her grandchildren, Melissa Cumbie McLaughlin and husband Ben; by grandsons, Beau and Michael Cumbie and John Sims; and by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Her family is comforted by the fact that she knew where she was going and often spoke of that glad reunion day in heaven with all of her loved ones. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 12:30 pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Tampa, with the Rev. Timothy Durden and the Rev. Leo Lacy presiding. In lieu of flowers, please make gifts to the Alzheimer's Association.
