Crichton, Mary Thornton, 99, of Riverview passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2015. Born in Hartwell, Ga. on November 4, 1915. She has lived in Riverview for 62 years, and has been an active member of the community. A member of Riverview United Methodist Church, member of Desoto Chapter #201 Order of Eastern Star in Riverview, Founding member of Riverview Garden Club, member of Women's Auxiliary , and The Gideon's International. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Crichton, Sr. She is survived by her son Bill Crichton, Jr.; daughters Janilyn Crichton, and Mary Joe (Richard) Raukar, 5 grandchildren David Burt, Jr., Joe Burt, William Burt, Mary Lynn Crichton-Llop, John Crichton; 12 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 4-7pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1pm at Riverview United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at Hackney Cemetery.
