Obituary

Marvin Wayne Spangler went to be with the Lord December 16, 2021. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 8, 1939 to Sandford and Martha Spangler.

Marvin was a school teacher, worked in the restaurant industry, and was a realtor. He loved fishing, gardening, and coin collecting.

Marvin is survived by his wife, of 41 years, Edwina Spangler and his children Brian and Deana Spangler, Karen Owens, Denise and Allan Handley, Michelle Spangler, Jimmy and Rhonda Workman, Lesa and Jim Cumberland, Scott Workman (preceded in death).

He is also survived by his brother Sandford Spangler, and sisters Helen Sands, Elizabeth White, Charlsie Wenzinger, Christine Knoses, Phyllis Ogle, and sister-in-law Virginia Roberts.

He leaves his grandchildren Kinsey Owens, Joshua Spangler, Zachery Spangler, Shane Handley, Brooke Handley, James Workman, Julia Conley, Melinda Pritchard, Callie Jones, David Cumberland, Jacob Workman, and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Brian Spangler, Jimmy Workman, Jim Cumberland, James Workman, David Cumberland, Jacob Workman, Daniel Jones, and Ted Carter. Honorary pallbearers include Lee Eggert, Henry Brosnaham, and Dr. Michael Burnett.
