Vanwy, Marjorie T., 91, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on October 16, 2014. Marjorie was born in The Township of Squaw Grove, Illinois and moved to Brandon, FL in 1964. She was a Charter Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon, FL., where she worshiped and volunteered. After her retirement from GTE, she spent several years traveling. Her greatest joys were loving and spoiling her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was a member of the William Morris Chapter of the DAR in Charleston, West Virginia. She is survived by three children, Everett B. Vanwy of Thomasville, Ga, Kay L. Hecksher (Richard) of Brandon, FL and Cynthia V. Oman of Valrico Fl. Four Grandchilren, Randi Vanwy Rodriguez (Hendrick), Carla L Oman, Katrina Hecksher Boone (Richard) and Jacob Walker Holehouse. Four Great-Grandchildren, Audrey, Anna and Brady Boone, and Lorenzo Rodriguez. She is also survived by one sister, Lorna Wahlgren of Owasso, OK and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Indigo team of LifePath Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother. We would also like to thank the staff at Emeritus in Brandon, where Marjorie resided for 2 years prior to moving home with her daughter and son-in-law Kay and Richard. Funeral services will be held at Serenity Meadows on Monday October 20 at 11 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
