Marjorie (Margie) Epperson New went to her heavenly home Thursday, December 12 ^th 2019. She was born on Sunday, December 8 ^th 1929 in Meredithville, Virginia. Her family was so happy to be able to celebrate her 90 ^th birthday with her before she passed.

Like her husband David, Margie grew up as a child of the depression. She was a lifeguard in her youth. She attended James Madison University and was the first in her family to graduate from college.

Margie worked as a physical education teacher in Virginia prior to her marriage to David. Once they had their much longed for children, she stayed home in order to have more time with them. Ever the educator, she taught them to read before they started kindergarten. She inspired her son David to choose a career in education,

Margie was active most of her life, enjoying sports with the family and being part of a tennis league.

She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon.

Margie is survived by her daughter Michele, her son David, David's wife Amanda and her granddaughter Lila.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23 ^rd at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview Fl. with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am.  Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
