Marion Lanterman passed away at home in Brandon, Florida on November 11, 2020, at the age of 93.

Marion was born on February 20, 1927, in Newton, New Jersey, where she lived most of her life, until moving to Florida in 2018. Marion retired from Selective Insurance Company after more than 30 years in various claim department positions. Marion loved to travel, having been to many states and several European countries.  She was a Big Sister with the Sussex County Big Brothers/Big Sisters for several years and was an active and dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church of Newton.  Marion also volunteered at Manna House in Newton where she served food to the less fortunate.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents James D. And Marion Gertrude Lanterman, Newton, New Jersey and sister Doris Lanterman Biasi of Netcong, New Jersey.  She is survived by her brothers James D. Lanterman (deceased April 18, 2021) and wife Darlyn Ritz Lanterman, Brandon, Florida, Howard List and wife Terry Brandenburg, Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania and sister Carol A. Baldwin, Riverview, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral is scheduled for July 24, 2021, at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Riverview, Florida, with a reception to follow at The Clarion Inn Hotel, 9331 East Adamo Drive, Tampa.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marion's life.  In lieu of flowers Marion requested donations be made to First United Methodist Church at 111 Ryerson Avenue, Newton, New Jersey 07860.

A celebration of life service will also be held in Newton, New Jersey in September 2021, a date to be determined at a later time.
