Marilyn Sheffield Roberts, of Lithia, FL, went to be with our Lord on February 28, 2022. She was 87 years old, and died peacefully surrounded by her family, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Dover, FL on September 2, 1934. Her beloved husband, Norman Roberts, preceded her to heaven on May 24, 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents, Clyde Chilton Sheffield and Catherine Simmons Sheffield.

Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Brandon High School. She obtained a degree in Education at Florida State University and earned her Masters at the University of Tampa. Marilyn was dedicated school teacher at Yates Elementary in Brandon for 38 years and was honored as Teacher of the Year.

Her life was built on the foundation of her Christian faith, the inner compass that guided her every day of her life. Marilyn was devoted to her faith and family, serving them both in whatever ways she could. She and Norman were active members of First United Methodist Church (New Hope) of Brandon since 1967. Those she leaves behind consider themselves blessed to have been touched by such an amazing women.

Marilyn (Nana) is survived by her loving family which includes, son Cliff Roberts (daughter Patti), Lithia, FL, son Craig Roberts (daughter Ashley), Riverview, FL, grandchildren Brent (Jamie), Corey, Kailee, Jackson and great granddaughter Jayda. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws, many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.
