IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn
Cole
July 2, 1939 – September 5, 2024
Marilyn Anne Cole
Born: July 2, 1939
Died: September 5, 2024
Marilyn was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. To the late Merril and Carolyn Jay, she grew up in South Dakota and Minnesota where her father was a school teacher, and coach. At the age of 9, her family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi where her father worked as a civil servant for Kessler Air Force Base. Once graduated from Biloxi High School in 1959, Marilyn enrolled in a nurses training program in New Orleans. She later transferred to Memphis State University, where she met and married her husband, Bobby Cole.
Bobby played football and she was a cheerleader. Upon graduation Bobby enlisted in the United States Marine Corps he served honorably for twenty-seven years. Born to the union was three sons Christopher, Jeff and Stephen. Marilyn was an avid reader who loved her family, friends and church.
While we mourn her death, we rejoice in knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her husband Bobby; three sons Christopher, Jeff, and Stephen; a Sister Deborah Hinds; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She will be forever missed.
