Marie Jessie Charles ( nee Paul) the First (1st) of 4 children of the late Gabriel Paul and Alexandrina Warner, was born in the island of Dominican West Indies. At an early age she traveled to Antigua where she met and married Hubert Charles, that union resulted in 10 wonderful and devoted children-- Walter, Glenda, Gladwyn, Alderine, Pauline (Verona), Dianne, Jerry, Kenrick, Lester and David.

Marie had three other siblings,  one brother Flaise, two sisters Otine and Bernadette who all preceded her in death.

Marie worked as a domestic worker during her early years at Hodges Bay and Beach Hotel in Antigua.

Marie moved to New York in the late 1980's and resided in the Bronx. In 1997 Marie relocated from New York to Florida where she lived until her passing on November 30th.

Marie was  very devoted to her Catholic Faith, her 10 children, grand children, nephews, nieces one adopted daughter Sharilyn Lewis  Anthony and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
