Carlton, Marie P., 84 , of Brandon, passed away on January 13, 2018. Marie was the owner of The Talk of the Town Hair Salon in Brandon. She was a member of the ABWA and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed needlepoint, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Carlton; sons, Stephen Lee Thomas and Keith Carlton; and siblings, Robert Pope, Joann Drummond, and Jesse "Mac" Pope. Marie is survived by her loving family, children, David Thomas, Katherine Law, Cheryl Carlton, and Kim (Bob) D'Allasandro; grandchildren, Renée (John) Fleischman, Rita Thomas, Steven Law, Jennifer Law, Jessica Carlton, Megan Carlton, Katlyn O'Brien, Jason Carlton, Dylan Thomas, Robert (Savannah) D'Assasandro and Victoria D'Assasandro; great grandchildren Dillon and Mikayla Carlton, and Ava Kudlinski; and sisters, Sara Staggs, and Lonnie Brundage. There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Bloomingdale Cemetery.
