Meretsky, Marianna passed away on July 17, 2014. Ann was born in Louisville, Ky. and grew up in Ann Arbor, MI. She was the daughter of the late William B. and Virginia K. Seidel. She is survived by her son Peter and her husband Larry who she met while they were students at Michigan State University. Ann later went onto attend the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. Ann was an avid gardener, and was a master knitter whose finished products were always perfect. No dropped stitches allowed. She loved sailing and was the designated helmsman on "Ruffneck" for many sailboat races on Biscayne Bay (many won) including a club championship. She was always ready to leave for the Bahamas or a weekend cruise at a moments notice. She was a loving wife and a compassionate and diligent mother. She endured a long illness, never complained, and made the best of everyday. She will be missed. A private memorial is planned.
