Maria Hannah Kennedy, 77, of Riverview, beloved wife of Howard Kennedy for 55 years passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her home in the presence of her loving family. Born to Howard Churchill and Clara LeVecque Churchill in Portland, Maine on April 10, 1943, Maria grew up in
Portland, Maine before moving to Connecticut where she spent 40 years before retiring to Riverview, Florida. Maria was a devout Roman Catholic and communicant of Saint Stephen Church in Riverview. She dedicated her life to helping others and spent over 35 years caring for people as a licensed practical nurse. She loved shopping for her family, staying up to date with current trends, finding new things to do and try, and traveling. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends and never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.
In addition to her loving husband, Maria is survived by her two sons; Shawn Kennedy and his wife Andrea, and Brian Kennedy and his wife Amy; and her three grandchildren, Kristina Kennedy, Kayla Kennedy, and Luke Kennedy. We are thankful for the love and support of our many friends; David and Judy Gauthier, Alan and Dianne Hoffman, and Lynn and Ed Dailey.  Funeral services and burial will be held privately due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, with a celebration of life to be planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice
