Maria Figueroa passed peacefully on June 17th at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa surrounded by family at the age of 66.

Maria is survived by her husband Pedro Figueroa Gomez; children, Martha Benitez, Emanuel Benitez, Paulita Figueroa, Peter Figueroa; sibling, Francisco Morales; and sister-in-law Ana Morales. She is preceded in death by her father Francisco Morales Sierra; mother Josefina Arroyo; and brother Efrain Morales.

Maria was born on February 2, 1958, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and sister. She loved to craft, garden, and travel.

At the age of 22, Maria enlisted in the US Army. She valued this service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant. During her time in active duty she was awarded The Army Commendation Medal. She then spent almost 20 years as a member of the Tampa General Hospital team.

Family and friends are invited to Serenity Meadows Funeral Home at 6919 Providence Road Riverview, FL 33578 on Friday, June 28, 2024 for visitation at 12pm and service at 2pm.
