Margie S
Todd
March 20, 1971 — October 8, 2020
Margie Todd, resident of Norristown, PA passed away on October 8, 2020 at the home of her loving sister, Wanda Barroso and family in Riverview, Florida. Wanda, Wanad's husband Ulises and her cousins Luis Manuel, Alberto, Luis A, Mona and Vanessa, made certain that her final days would be comfortable, surrounded by family as were Margie's wishes. Born in New York as Margie Santiago, but raised in Adjuntas, PR, she is survived by her mother, Blanca; sisters: Angelina and Judith; her cousins; Aunts Taty y Bonnie; her nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. Margie was an accomplished young woman. She returned to the States with her mother and sister Judith, knowing little English, yet refused to be enrolled in a bilingual class. With the encouragement of her educator aunts, she became fluent in English, succeeded in High School and was accepted to Storrs university in Conn (UConn) from which she graduated. She entered the corporate world and worked at Gallagher Seals as CEO for many years, during which time she pursued her Masters. While battling her illness, she continued to work and strive for success. She received a Doctorate Degree in Cyber Security and had published articles on this theme as well as offering professional conferences. She became a well regarded and respected lecturer on the field, and later throughout her illness, a licensed and successful realtor, known for her professionalism and her integrity. Margie valued and respected law enforcement. She volunteered to tutor new police officers and was extremely committed to that as well as respected by the police captain. She started businesses in Norristown, but eventually was unable to continue her endeavors due to her health. Margie was a generous, caring and was a person of faith. She helped anyone and everyone and attended Church. She was extremely versatile from being an expert pool player, a lover of music (especially jazz) and an admirer of the American artist, Norman Rockwell. She loved cruising and never missed an art lecture on board. When she was committed to something, she strived to achieve her goal. No matter how hard, she kept on pushing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, where Margie will be laid to rest.
The family wishes to thank The Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia for all the attention, love and care given to Margie, as well as for keeping her with us for so many years.
