Margarita Descalzo, 87, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Brandon, Florida. Born on October 17, 1938, in Pangasinan, Philippines, she lived a life marked by resilience, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Together with her beloved husband, the late Edgardo M. Descalzo, Margarita made the courageous decision to immigrate from the Philippines to the United States in pursuit of greater opportunities for their family. Their journey was one of determination and hope—a legacy that continues through the generations they nurtured and inspired.

Margarita was a loving mother to her daughters Maritone Corkery and Gina Timmins, and to her sons Karlo Descalzo, Edgardo II Descalzo, and Edgardo III Descalzo. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren: Anthony Descalzo, Nicholas Descalzo, Michael Descalzo, Angela Descalzo, Michelle Descalzo, Samantha Descalzo, Lauren McGreevy, Brigette Timmins, Sarah Timmins, Christina Howe, Marguerite Boisonault, and Danielle Holverson. She was also blessed with 19 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Known for her warmth and vibrant personality, Margarita found happiness in tending to her garden and indulging in her favorite pastime shopping on QVC. These simple pleasures reflected her appreciation for beauty and comfort in everyday life. Her legacy is one of love and perseverance a testament to the strength it takes to build a new life while holding fast to one's roots. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
