Margaret Compton Smith, of Apollo beach, FL was born on November 13, 1940 in Greenville, South Carolina to Homer "Pokey" and Margie Compton. At gym class, in the 9 ^th grade, she met the love of her life, C. Furman Smith.  They were married April 27, 1961 and so began her life's greatest adventure.

Margaret dedicated her life to her family.  She always made sure the house was full of home cooked meals, music, and most importantly, love.  She was very creative as well, and liked to craft ceramics, paint and draw in her spare time.  Margaret was always up for a road trip and always urged her family to try something at least once.  Dessert first was a life rule.

Margaret, also lovingly known as Nene, is survived by her husband of 59 years, C. Furman Smith; her son Jeffrey Smith; her daughter Candace Mollycheck; her grandchildren: Kayleigh "KK" Mollycheck and Cayce Paszek; her great grandson Austin Paszek; sons in law Rusty Bullard and Justin Paszek; daughter in law Jillian Smith; her sisters: Susan Compton Flynn & family and Becky Compton Hendrix & family; her brothers: Larry Compton & family and Stanley Compton & family and sister in law Marlene Smith.

Margaret was the greatest Wife, Mother, Nene & Sister anyone could ask for.  She will be missed so very much and loved forever to the moon and back.
