Obituary

Manson Collins, a beloved man who touched the lives of many, passed away on October 5, 2023, after
his strong battle with cancer at the young age of 71 years old.
Manson left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an abundance of cherished memories. He was born
on July 26, 1952, to the late Dorothy Holmes and George Collins in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his
devoted wife of 42 years, Jody Collins; his loving sons and their wives, Manson Jr. (Jenny) Collins, Jason
Collins, Stacy Collins, and Patrick (Erin) Collins, (Amy) Collins; his four grandchildren, Scott Collins,
Manson Collins III, Ava Collins & Arabella Collins; and his sisters, Beverly Collins, Colleen Bennett &
Patricia (Mike) Jones. They were the lights of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with
them.
Manson was a dedicated patriot who served his country with honor in the United States Army. He
achieved the rank of E5 and was awarded the Bronze Star for his extraordinary bravery during his five
years of service in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. Manson's journey through life was marked by
his resilient spirit, his unwavering optimism, and his ability to find joy in every moment. His laughter was
infectious, and his smile could light up a room. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went, and
he maintained those friendships with unwavering loyalty and genuine kindness.
Manson's professional life was equally remarkable. He took part in founding General Flooring alongside
his Sister-in-Law Joyce Bennett. The two of them successfully built a legacy for their family. Manson was
highly respected by his colleagues and was known for his dedication, integrity, and perseverance
complimented by working close with his family.
Manson Collins touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His memory will forever live on in
the hearts of those who loved him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on October 27,
2023, at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations
be made to [Charity or Cause] in Manson's honor.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who hold him dear.
