Hawkins, Lynnette Merz, 72, of Bradenton, FL passed away on March 25, 2022 at home.  She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 20, 1949 and raised in Tampa, Florida.  She graduated from Robinson High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Merz as well as her brother, William Roderick Merz.  Lynnette is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Everett Hawkins; siblings Victoria Rice, Barbara Robbins (George), Gregory Merz (Rhonda) and Karen Valdespino (Raul); her daughter, Hon. Jacqueline Steele (Adam); daughter, Jennifer Blanton; step-daughters Pam Cox (Regie) and Renee Garcia; step-son John Hawkins; grandchildren Jessica Blanton, Gina Riley (Rob), Amber Williams (Stacey), Kelli Cox Jones (John), Cory Hawkins; great-grandchildren Tyler, Jovani, Reese, Leigha, Mason and Easton.

Lynnette worked for Merck-Medco Pharmaceutical Companies for over 20 years.  She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed operating concession stands for the Greater Tampa Youth Sports Association, serving in multiple Masonic activities as an Eastern Star member and with youth programs.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bunco with friends and collecting thimbles.  Her engaging smile and sweet demeanor drew everyone to her and she will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
