Luis "Lou"
Torres Jr
August 30, 1948 — December 4, 2020
Luis "Lou" F. Torres, Jr., 72, of Lithia, Florida, went to his heavenly home on December 4, 2020 surrounded by his wife and sons.
Lou was born in New York City, NY and spent most of his adolescent life living in the Bronx. After graduating from Fordham University, he continued working and advancing in his career at JP Morgan Chase. It was while working there that he met his wife, Wanda. Upon marriage, he moved to Roselle Park, NJ and ultimately, Lithia, FL in June 2001.
Lou enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, playing the role of "Mr. Fixit" whenever he could and cooking for his friends and family (everyone enjoyed his specialty, pork shoulder). He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lou was actively involved in his church, Nativity Catholic, where he served as treasurer of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and was a team member and sponsor of RCIA. To many he was a wonderful friend and an awesome witness to God's love.
To know Lou was to love him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a man who put the needs of others before his own, truly a very generous man.
Lou is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wanda; his sons: Christopher Torres (Rosa), Carlos Torres and Daniel Torres; 3 grandchildren: James, Abigail and Carlos Anthony and other family members.
Forever, he will be in our hearts….
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Nativity Catholic Church Outreach program in Lou's name.
