NESS, Lorraine "Miki", 83, Sun City Center, FL left this earthly world and joined her Heavenly Father and beloved husband of 59 years, Kenneth Ness, on his birthday, Saturday, July 7, 2007.
Mrs. Ness is survived by a sister; Florence Williams (Harold), Surprise, AZ,
daughters; Linda Mangnall (Rick), Elmhurst, IL and Peggy Rankin (David), Brandon, FL,
five grandchildren; Jonathan (Jennifer), David & Bryan Mangnall and Nicholas & Kelsey Rankin,
two great-grandchildren; Joshua & Jillian Mangnall. Lorraine was born to Conrad and Clara (Bollinger) Winkelmann in Chicago, IL on November 9, 1923. Lorraine became a homemaker upon the birth of her children. She enjoyed working part-time in sales at a local department store, introducing the latest styles of clothing to her girls. Upon Kenny's retirement they moved to Cherokee Village, AR before moving to Brandon, FL and finally to Sun City Center, FL in 2000.
Lorraine enjoyed cross-stitch, bowling and golf in her younger years, and most recently became quite adept on the computer.
Mrs. Ness was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved to volunteer at Immanuel School, especially at the superstore.
Lorraine was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and a kind friend to everyone she met.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2007, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007,
at Immanuel Lutheran Church,
2913 John Moore Road, Brandon, FL.
