Obituary

JAQUA, (Jake) Loren Lee, 74 of Brandon passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his home. Jake was born in Pipestone, Minnesota, moved to the area 35 years ago from Montgomery, Alabama and was Catholic by faith. He is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; sons, Mark (Linda) Jaqua, Jay (Melissa) Jaqua, and Brian (Theresa) Jaqua; daughter, Lynn (Ronald) Montgomery; half-brothers, Larry (Nancy) Renz and Byron (Jean) Jaqua; grandchildren, Bryan, Brian, Jayson, Danielle, and Callie Jaqua, Lindsey, Matthew, and Scott Montgomery. Jake retired after 20 years in the Air Force and during that time he served tours in North Africa, Hawaii, and 2 tours in Vietnam. He was also stationed in South Dakota, Maine, Washington DC, and Alabama. Jake also retired a second time from Verizon as a Systems analyst supervisor in Tampa, FL. Bowling and golf were his sports of passion with his coworkers in various leagues. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview.
