Lonnie Ray Christie, 71, of Riverview, FL, passed away at 10:40 am on August 2, 2017 at the LifePath Hospice of Ruskin from a long battle with cancer. Lonnie enjoyed playing music, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He was a talented musician among many of his other talents and he was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Lonnie was an exceptional man, who was loved by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Lorraine and Jackson Fitzpatrick (stepfather); Molton Allen and Lucille Christie (stepmother); Grandparents Ruby and Wells Brandon; and brother, Marvin King. Lonnie is survived by his loving family, wife of 52 years, Christine Christie; sons, Thomas D (Frances) Christie, Wyatt A (Lisa) Christie; daughter, Lonnette (Michael) Moffitt; brothers, Ronald Christie, Tommy (Janice) Bishop; sisters Donna J (Bill) Kelley, Betty Jo Ballard; stepsiblings, Randall Kelley, Archie (Misty) Kelley, Sharon Atkinson; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 7,2017 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home with services to follow Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows.
