Lilowtie "Mavis" Deonauth peacefully departed this world on November 27th, 2024 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Lilowtie was born to Garlie Deborah and Johnny Lackanlall on November 8th, 1942. Lilowatie was a very hard worker from early teenage years until the day she retired. She was skilled in various trades from farming to seamstress. Lilowtie immigrated to Canada in September 1987 and obtained her citizenship three years later. She worked for over 20 years and spent the last 10 years at Bee Clean at various locations. Lilowtie, known affectionately as Mavis, was a vibrant soul who brought joy to all those around her. After retiring in 2005, she traveled all over to spend time with her siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the rest of her family.
Mavis is survived by her loving husband of almost 67 years, Sumar Deonauth. She was married on December 8th, 1957 in Mahaicony Creek. Lilowtie and Sumar were blessed to have had 7 children, whom they raised also in Mahaicony Creek. Dudnauth Sumar "Mulch" (Dato), Chitrakha Balasar "Rita" (Roop), Dharamdai Sumar "Bano" (Blado), Shamkaran Sumar "Karo" (Pam), Mainawatte Jaikarran "Beto" (Paja), Praimchand Sumar "Buddy" (Maria) and Darshan Sumar "Nar" (Felisha); and 12 grand children. Amie and Richard (Mulch), Rajin and Reshme (Rita), Vijen (Bano), Susan, Tresha and Diann (Karo), Tarika and Ambika (Beto), Michael and Devin (Buddy).
Everyone will remember her for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Mavis made sure to instill values of a true hard worker, staying faithful in God, quality time with family but would always have a smile and dance in her. To her husband, she was his love at first sight. Mavis touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion
