Obituary

Lillian Ann Allen of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on November 25, 2025. She married Kenneth Albert Allen on August 30, 1952, who preceded her in death in 2001. A determined and persistent person, Lillian was a survivor, who forged through the many demands as a career military spouse, conquered numerous health issues as she aged, and was proud to have lived independently until her last days. Lillian, affectionately known by family as Grams, was 90 years old.

A remarkable woman, whose legacy is the example to all who knew her of how to courageously navigate life's challenges, remain steadfast in one's beliefs, and find happiness. Lillian was born on May 25, 1935, in Blakely, Georgia, the daughter of AC and Lucille Hartley. She graduated from Bay High School in Panama City, Florida in 1953, after which she journeyed to many locations around the continental United States, Okinawa, Japan, and Guam. After 20 years of Air Force travels, she resided in Dallas, Texas; Orange Park, Florida; Biloxi, Mississippi; and in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, until moving to Sun City Center in 2001.

She is survived by her only child, Thomas Martin, who currently resides in Ruskin, Florida with his wife, Karen; her grandson, Kenneth Edward Allen, of Riverview, Florida, and great-grandson, Andre Thomas; her granddaughter, Amy Nicole Marbut and husband Chris of Ruskin, Florida, and great-grandson Zane Alexander; one sibling, Tillie Patterson, who currently resides in Pensacola, Florida, and niece Patte.
