Johnson, Lewis L. "Buddy", passed away Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 in Sun City Center, FL. Born in Lillington, NC, Buddy spent his time divided between his native NC and his adopted state, FL. Buddy spent over 45 years working in highway and bridge construction. When he was not hard at work, you could find him exploring trails on horseback, airboating on Lake Kissimmee or traveling across the US. Buddy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce; his son, Louis; his daughter, Angie; his grandchildren, Tiffany and Steve Pelletier, James and Megan Johnson, Jesse Johnson and Mackenzie Johnson; and his two great grandchildren, Zachary Pelletier and Jay Johnson. A celebration of Lewis' life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to LifePath Hospice, who helped provide tender and loving care for Buddy during his final days.
