Lester Columbus Blanton born May 27, 1955 in Perry, Florida, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2026.

Lester made his home for the last several years in the Tampa area surrounded by friends and family.

To know Lester was to love him – it was also to know that University of Florida Gators was the greatest football team ever, NASCAR was the only proper thing to do with your Sunday afternoon after church, Saturday nights were for dirt track racing, and boiled peanuts were a food group all their own.

Lester is preceded in death by his Daddy, Anon Columbus Blanton, his Mama, Laura Ann Blanton, his brothers Leon Blanton, Eustis Blanton, and Donald Blanton. He is survived by a loving family and many friends who will miss him so.

Family and friends will be received at 10am on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist church 3702 N. Frontage Road, Plant City, FL with service to follow at 11am and will conclude graveside services immediately following.
