Leslie G. Seright of Lithia, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011.
Les was born August 24, 1928 in Yates Center, Kansas. His parents were Alma and Dr. Leslie J. Seright. His mother graduated from Northwestern University with a Master's degree in music and his father graduated from Kansas City Dental College. Les graduated from East High School in Kansas City in 1945 and joined the U.S. Army in 1946, serving with Headquarters Detachment, Special Troops, 24 Corps, in Seoul, Korea. After being discharged, he returned to Kansas and enrolled at Baker University. He graduated in 1951 with a B.S. degree in business administration and continued his graduate studies at Dartmouth University. Following his studies, he was employed by Trans World Airlines (TWA) in Kansas City and retired with TWA as regional comptroller. He later moved to Lithia where he enjoyed his retirement as an avid community activist and especially enjoyed hiking and swimming. Les was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Seright. He is survived by Antoinette Fouts and Jeanne Seright of Atlanta, GA and Christina Seright of Boca Raton, FL. Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Peter Channel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. Interment will follow at the VA National Cemetery in Canton, GA where he will be buried with honors.
