Monette (Lena) Skidmore, 85, passed away peacefully January 24, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born August 21, 1932 in Enterprise, Alabama to Katherine E. and Carl Haynes.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ray; her son, Michael; brother, Billy Jo; and sisters, Voncile and MarySue Hill.  She leaves behind a son, Patrick Skidmore (Rosaree); daughter in law, Ruth Skidmore; grandchildren, Michael Skidmore (April), Melissa Morris (Bo), Patrick Skidmore II and Andrew Skidmore; great- grandchildren Jesse Lee, Wesley Lee, Toby Lee, Michael Skidmore, and Tanner Skidmore; brother John Haynes (Bobbie); several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital in her name. The visitation will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL on Sunday, January 28 from 3-5PM. The funeral service will be at 11 am on Monday, January 29 at the funeral home.
