Faithful follower of Christ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Laura Torres de Bravo (Nani) 87, passed away on May 11, 2022.

She was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Laura and her late husband, César Bravo, moved to Florida in 2005 to be closer to family.

Laura is survived by her son César José (Stacey), and daughters Laurita (Scott), Mercedes (David), Vanessa (José), Liza (Bill), and Madeline (Britt). Laura has 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister Pilar, and brothers Jorge, Carlos, and Felix.

Laura was a wonderful and optimistic person who cherished her years of work and service at San Ignacio de Loyola Catholic Church and School. She taught Spanish, typing, and sewing throughout her career and was a seamstress specializing in wedding dresses. Laura was most proud of her first job as Administrative Secretary to the President of the University of Puerto Rico from 1957 to 1965. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for all 5 of her daughters.

Laura loved her family selflessly and was the glue that held the immediate and extended family together.

Her love of dance, travel, family reunions, playing games and sharing happy memories will be remembered by all who knew her.

Laura's memorial service will be held Friday, May 20, 2022, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, Florida.

Laura will be deeply missed.
