Larry E Whitehurst Sr., 67, of Tampa, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was born on December 6, 1957 in Tampa, Florida to Lipton Whitehurst and Josephine Bass Whitehurst.

Larry was a hard working family man. After a brief stay at TECO in his teens, he spent over 45 years as a highly valued member of the management team at Tampa Steele Erecting Company.

While still in his teens, a true love story happened. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and adore each other so much that they married and spent over 47 years together. Larry's loving wife, Ella Faye, still survives him. Along with his children; Larry Whitehurst Jr and Lance Whitehurst, siblings; Lee and Leonard Whitehurst, grandchildren; Larry Whitehurst III, Jamarion Neal, Kailee Whitehurst, and Briella Whitehurst and his two furry companions, Lola and Draco, his dogs. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Peggy Riley.

Larry in his free time, liked fishing, dancing, watching Nascar, Sunday trips to Waffle House with his wife, vacationing in Tennessee and his times of peace, smoking a cigarette out front on the porch with the company of his dogs.

There will be a visitation held for Larry at 11 am on Wednesday, June 18th at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home (6919 Providence Rd., Riverview, FL 33578) with a service to start at 12 pm.
