Kevin Ray Hayes, 55, of Tampa Florida passed away unexpectedly on April 20 th 2022. He passed due to natural causes.

Kevin was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 22, 1966, the son of Ruth Ann Hayes and Bobby Ray Hayes. Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy in 1986 at the age of 19. He went on to earn the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, and graduate from Grantham University with a bachelor's degree, while serving in the Armed Forces. After his distinguished military career Kevin transitioned into the Government Service and continued to support the United States in a successful career with the Department of Defense. Kevin dedicated the next 15 years of his life to the United States Special Operations Command, before finally achieving his role as Deputy Commander for the Defense Information Systems Agency.
Kevin was a dedicated father, partner, and son. He loved to live life to the fullest, and was never far away from a good time. We can fondly remember him behind any grill, at any Lightning game, or when we look at the Crimson Red of the Alabama Football logo.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Meghan Rae Hayes who he could not have been prouder of, his soulmate Lynn E James, who he loved with all his heart, his mother Ruth Ann Hayes, his sister Leanne Hayes Snell (Todd), and several nieces and nephews. Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Hayes.

Kevin's closest friends and family will gather to lay him to rest at Florida National Cemetery on Thursday morning April 28th .
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday evening April 28th at the American Legion 138 in Tampa, FL
