SOLOSKI, KENNETH JOHN (Polacko), 66, Valrico, FL, died March 4, 2009. Born in Marshfield, WI June 19, 1942 he came to Florida in 1964 while serving in the Air Force. He retired after 34 years with GTE/Verizon and worked another 5 years with AT&T. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda J. Carrier Soloski, son Jason (Jenniffer), granddaughter Madison, all of Valrico, mother Laniece A. Dohm and step-father Orville F. Dohm, both of Green Bay Wisconsin; five half-brothers, John, Tom (Sara), Chuck Dohm, all of Wisconsin, Robert (Barbara) Chicago, IL and Michael (Kim) Minneapolis; two half-sisters Renee DeGrand (Gary) and Joleen Barke of Green Bay, WI. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ken was an avid Buccaneer and Packer fan and enjoyed NASCAR as well. He was a Lifetime Member and the Finance Officer of AMVETS Post 44 in Brandon, FL. He was a Charter Member and first Junior Governor of the Interbay Moose Lodge #912, currently a member of Brandon Moose Lodge #1880 and member of Eagles Aerie #3566 in Valrico, FL. Predeceased by his father Michael Hans Soloski who died while serving in WWII.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will take place Sunday, March 15, from 2-3:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Brandon, FL with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Eagle Aerie #3566 in Valrico, FL. On Monday March 16 his cremains will be inurned at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to AMVETS Post #44, Attn: Bldg.
