Obituary

Kenneth Edward Kinney, was born on December 20, 1936, and went home on September 30, 2025, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, where he has been joyfully reunited with his beloved son, Pat, and his mother, Edith.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife, Joy, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage, a true example of love and commitment. He is also survived by his sons Chris and Dana, and by Mark and Michael from his first marriage, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth's life was one of faithful service. He dedicated over 30 years to the United States military. He began his career in the United States Air Force before serving more than 25 years in the United States Army. His assignments took him to the United Kingdom, Korea, Vietnam and Germany. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major (CSM), concluding his distinguished career as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the 14th Military Police (MP) Brigade in Stuttgart, Germany.

His Army career included service on a dog tracker team along the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), work as an infantry instructor at Fort Benning, and leadership as a senior Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) for Military Police physical security and Military Police training commands.

After retiring from the Army, Kenneth continued his life of leadership and hard work. He served as a General Manager for Wells Fargo Armored Service and later as an Executive Vice President for National Linen.

Kenneth was known for his dedication to physical fitness and personal discipline. He enjoyed running, racquetball, and physical labor of all kinds. His mother once said that he was the hardest-working man she had ever seen, recalling how he tirelessly cleared their property with unwavering determination.

A man of many loves, Kenneth was a lifelong fan of football, ever loyal to his Tennessee Volunteers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yet above all else, his deepest love was for his Lord Jesus Christ, and the family rejoices in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior.

Kenneth's life leaves behind a legacy of faith, devotion, patriotism, and love. "He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
