With sadness in our hearts we are announcing the passing of Kathryn "Kathy" Hercules who passed away April 25th, 2025. Kathy was born in Portland, Oregon on July 27th, 1952 to Dona and Joseph King. She grew up in  Ruskin, Florida , where she went to high school at East Bay High School.  She met her husband James Hercules while dancing at Bahia Beach; they later got married on July 2nd,1993. They both entered the marriage with children from previous unions, and together they were blessed with a daughter, Lauren Hercules. Throughout her life she was dedicated to hard work and service. In her early years she worked in the carnival business and her parents business. Later, she began a long and fulfilling career with the Florida Department of Corrections where she served faithfully for 20 years before retiring. In her retirement she enjoyed quality time with her family which included lunch and lots of shopping.

Kathy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She had an ability to open her heart to others which was one of her most beautiful gifts. She will not only be remembered for her love and kindness but her strength she had shown throughout her lifetime.
