But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart
Karsten's big heart and loving spirit will be missed by the family and friends he hold so
dear.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Maria.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Catherine, their children Jacqueline, Nicholas, Heather (David), Kristen (Nick) and their grandchildren, Logan, Briana, Davelynne, Aaliyah and Elizabeth, and extended family and friends.

Visitation September 9, 2018 from 2 to 3:30 followed by funeral service from 3:30 to 4:00 at Serenity Meadow Funeral Home, Riverview Florida.

There will be a military service at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Monday September 10, 2018 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of these charities which he held dear to his heart:  Intrepid Fallen Heroes Funds and St-Jude Children's Hospital.
