IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Jane
Marsh
June 1, 1947 – December 9, 2023
Karen Jane Marsh, 76 of Brandon, FL, passed away on December 9, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald C. Marsh of Brandon, her beloved mother, Martha J. Daniels of Brandon, her son K. Todd Marsh (Amy) of Valrico, daughter Beth Marsh of Valrico, son Steve Marsh (Shari) of Raleigh, N.C. and son Cullen Marsh (Melanie) of Lewiston, PA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her father J. Howard Daniels.
Karen was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL as the cherished only child of Howard and Martha. She attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN where she majored in English and Music. Karen married the love of her life, Donald Marsh, in 1981 and together they raised a blended family in Valrico, FL. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon, now New Hope Church, where she served in many areas of ministry including music, teaching and leadership. Karen's greatest loves in her life were God, her church and her family. She loved gatherings of family and friends where she would host parties and meals that made everyone feel special. She had a talent for decorating and all things "fancy" and Karen will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Karen's family would like to thank the professional staff at AdventHealth Connerton Acute Care Hospital and Melech Hospice House for their expert and compassionate care during her final weeks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Hope Church located at 213 North Knights Avenue, Brandon, FL 33510 on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 4:00pm. A time of fellowship will follow in the social hall. If you choose, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Hope Church music ministry in her memory.
