Julio Cesar Cantillo died peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospital South on Thursday, 9/12/2024 in Riverview, FL at the age of 90.
Julio is survived by his wife Lourdes María Cantillo; children Lourdes Irene Núñez, Julissa Mirella Torres , Julito Cantillo, Julio Cantillo, Herlinda Cantillo and Rosita Cantillo.

Julio was born on November 23, 1933 in Barranquilla, Colombia to Manuel & Candida Cantillo. He married Lourdes Muñoz on July 25, 1980 in New York City. After moving to New Jersey, Julio began working for ILA as a Long Shoreman. Over the following 4 years, the couple welcomed 2 children into their home. His children and grandchildren remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, driven, and loving father and grandfather who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, September 20th from 6pm-7pm at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview. A Memorial Service will begin at 7pm.   Pastor Jim Contreras will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Julio's life.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff at St. Joesph's Hospital for their efforts and care for Julio in his last days.
