Obituary

Judith Elaine Miller Pistone Cheesman, daughter of the late Dr. Richard "Dick" Miller and Mildred Hoban Miller, and sister of the late Dr. Richard "Bud" Miller II, was born January 21st, 1940. She quietly departed this life at home in Valrico, Florida on April 17th, 2020 after bringing joy to many with her extraordinary spirit. She was a fabulous mother to Maria & Pete Trunzo, Roy Pistone II and Rich & Tammi Pistone. Always a friend and confidant to her grandchildren, Nicole, Samantha, Luca, Jenna, Anthony, Dominick, and Katlin. She dearly loved her great grandchildren, Jayden, Tori, Lonni, and Hadlee.

Growing up in Dayton, Ohio Judy enjoyed school, dancing, playing basketball, and going to the movies with friends. Judy graduated from Julienne High School in 1958 and the University of Dayton class of 1962. She built lifelong friendships which she kept despite moving away from Dayton.

At an early age she professed her faith and has been active in parishes throughout her life. She was secretary for Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and School in Tampa, Florida and Notre Dame Catholic School in Springhill, Florida. Most recently, Judy was an active member of CRHP-Christ Renews His Parish Family at Saint Stephen's in Riverview, Florida.

Most weekday mornings Judy could be found with her YMCA-Silver Sneakers Gang in Valrico, Florida and she will be remembered for helping to organize fundraisers, senior trips, and birthday celebrations for her classmates.

Judy enjoyed the Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) Community and attended various events around the country to gather with friends while supporting her favorite artists.

Above all, Judy always cherished family and was prayerful through all life's ups and downs. As a result of her generous spirit and vibrant personality, she was loved by many. Judy's beautiful life will always be treasured, and her influence will remain forever in our lives. Her hope was that her spirit of joy and giving will be reflected by all who knew her. Judy wished to be cremated, which has taken place, and a funeral mass will be held on a later date because a life so beautifully lived deserves to be celebrated.
