Judine "Judy" Scannell (Logan), 72 passed away on January 14, 2011 at Melech Hospice House. Judy was born in Jackson, MI on June 21, 1938 and has lived in Tampa/Gibsonton, FL for the past 22 years, formerly of Lincoln Park, MI. Judy is a veteran of the US Navy. She retired from the University of South Florida in 2005 after 18 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Dorothy Logan and sister, Nancy Logan. Judy is survived by her loving husband Paul of 51 years, daughters Nancy (Craig) Dietrich, of Monroe MI., Heather Cooper of Wimauma, brother, Michael Logan of Kissimmee and four grandchildren; Cassandra, Aaron, and Dana Dietrich and Tyler Cooper, two sisters-in-law, Carol Grinnell and Arlene Wilson, two brothers-in-law, Henry (Audrey) Taylor and Richard (Theresa) Taylor, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Chapel with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Melech Hospice House 11125 N 52nd Street, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617, or to the family to help defray the cost of the funeral.
