Joyce Kay Underwood, 63, of Lithia and formerly of Kansas, passed away on June 19, 2011. She moved to the area in 1985 from Lake of the Ozarks, Mo with her family. She was of the Catholic faith. Joyce was a devoted wife and mother, giving her love and time to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking and received pleasure seeing her family enjoy her food and eating. She was also a member of the International Beiwer Club and spent her time breeding dogs and showing at various dog shows.

She is survived by her husband , Layton, whom she married in 1965; three daughters, Shawndel Berkstresser (Robert), Tracey Lund (Johndrew) and Angela White (Anthony), all of Riverview, FL; her mother, Virginia Thompson, of Atchison, KS; one brother, Glenn Seibenmorgan (Marilyn) of Hiwatha, KS; and a sister, Teresa Peak (Robert) of Atchison, KS along with 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. Riverview, FL with burial to follow at Serenity MeadowsMemorial Park.
